2025 AC Rental Process Update
Dear Residents and Family Members,
We are pleased to share that we have made significant investments to enhance comfort throughout the building by installing air conditioning (AC) in most areas. On the second floor, every room now has AC vents installed above the doorways and the hallways are also fully air-conditioned.
To ensure the system works effectively, it is essential that these vents remain open and unobstructed. Blocking or closing them reduces the cooling efficiency and affects the comfort of residents, staff, and visiting family members.
However, the addition of this extensive cooling infrastructure has significantly increased our electricity usage. We are now approaching the maximum electrical load capacity for our site.
What This Means for You:
To avoid overloading our electrical system, we must strictly limit the use of portable AC units throughout the building. Portable AC units will be removed from the second floor rooms and reallocated to the first floor ones. This decision is based solely on safety and infrastructure limitations – it does not matter whether a unit is rented or personally owned. We cannot support additional AC units without risking a power failure, which would compromise resident care and safety.
If you are in one of the first floor rooms and would like to request a portable AC unit, please follow the usual process by submitting an application form at reception. Our Maintenance Team will review each request to determine eligibility.
Please know that we are doing everything possible to accommodate as many residents as we can within the constraints of our electrical capacity.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
