Welcome Dr. Valentyna B. Rembez, MD, CCFP
Medical Coordinator

Louis Brier Home & Hospital and Weinberg Residence are pleased to warmly welcome Dr. Valentyna B. Rembez as our new Medical Coordinator. In this leadership role Dr. Rembez will help guide clinical care, support our interdisciplinary teams, and advance our commitment to excellence in seniors’ care.

Dr. Rembez is a highly respected Family Physician and Certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) with extensive experience in family medicine, geriatrics, hospital medicine, and emergency care. She completed her Family Practice Residency through the International Medical Graduate Program at the University of British Columbia and has been serving patients in the Vancouver community since 2009. She also holds a long-standing appointment as a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia, contributing to the education and mentorship of future physicians.

Originally trained at Odessa Medical University in Ukraine, Dr. Rembez graduated with honors and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she received First Category certification. Her early medical career included roles as an OB/GYN physician, emergency physician, and Chief Physician of a delivery unit, along with academic appointments teaching obstetrics and gynecology.

Throughout her career in Canada, Dr. Rembez has held a number of important clinical and leadership roles. She has served on the active medical staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, worked as an ED iCare physician at Vancouver General Hospital, and as a Hospitalist at Vancouver General Hospital. She also contributes to provincial healthcare services through BC’s 811 Health Service.

Dr. Rembez brings a strong background in geriatric care and medical leadership. She previously served as Medical Coordinator and Director of the Geriatrics Program at Broadway Pentecostal Lodge and continues to serve as Medical Coordinator at the Royal Arch Masonic Lodge Home. Her decades of clinical, teaching, and leadership experience make her an exceptional addition to our team.

Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, Dr. Rembez is known for her compassionate approach to patient care, her dedication to mentoring colleagues and learners, and her collaborative leadership style.
