Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
It is hard to believe that another year has flown by and a new chapter has begun. Can you imagine? It feels like just yesterday Prince was singing “1999” (https://youtu.be/rblt2EtFfC4?si=ESKuHokXPc6dHpct).
True to our organizational culture, we have continued to achieve remarkable milestones and reach new heights this year—all made possible by the dedication of our staff, stakeholders, families, and our amazing residents. Together, we have built a community of care, compassion, and excellence that shines brightly.
Looking back on 2024, several accomplishments truly stand out. For the fifth consecutive year, Louis Brier Home & Hospital and Weinberg Residence were named Not-for-Profit Employer of Choice, while also earning recognition from the Readers’ Choice Awards. These accolades are a testament to the passion and commitment you bring to your work every single day.
We also experienced incredible growth in our educational efforts, welcoming 400 students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds—a new milestone that reflects our dedication to learning and development. The launch of Schwartz Rounds added another layer of support and connection for our team, helping us care for those who care so deeply.
Our 80’s Extravaganza was an unforgettable highlight, bringing our community together for an evening of joy, laughter, and togetherness. In addition, the opening of the Multi-Sensory Room created a new world of enrichment for our residents, a space designed to bring comfort, engagement, and joy.
This year, we also took an important step forward by refreshing our Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Priorities, ensuring they reflect our commitment to excellence and our guiding Jewish traditions and values. Through all these efforts, we have reaffirmed our focus on delivering quality, safe care that honours the lives of our residents and their families.
To each of you, I extend my deepest gratitude. Your unwavering dedication makes an extraordinary difference, touching the lives of those we serve in profound ways. As we step into 2025, I am confident we will continue to achieve great things together.
