Honouring and Celebrating Israel:
Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’Atzmaut

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers and victims of terrorism is an important reminder that Israel’s independence was gained through the sacrifice of those who defended it, and without them, the State of Israel would not exist.

Ha’Atzmaut, Israel’s Day of Independence, commemorates and celebrates the declaration of the State of Israel by David Ben Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister, in 1948.

At the LBHH, there will be a one-hour (live) global celebration with Jewish Federation of North America at 11:00AM to celebrate Israel’s Independence Day and at 1:45 PM, we will be acknowledging Yom HaZikaron with a memorial service.

Immediately following at 2:00PM we will be broadcasting & livestreaming a two-man band performing OUTSIDE of the LBHH front doors and projecting the musical performance onto the big screen in the Homeside Lounge. All events will be held in the Homeside Lounge.
